I found this accounting job on Craigslist. I have some background in accounting but most jobs require you to be able to use Excel, Quickbooks, Outlook and Word. It is hard to find a job in accounting or finance if you aren't computer literate.
Staff Accountant
Friendly, fast-paced property management office in Monterey looking for Staff Accountant to join our team.
Principal responsibilities include:
Heavy accounts payable
Bank reconciliations
Prepare financial statements and reports for multiple companies
Assist with budget preparations
Back up to Accounts Receivable Specialist
Payroll
Work closely with CPA for fiscal year reviews and tax returns
Diagnose accounting/Quickbooks software problems
Skills desired:
Highly proficient in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Able to work independently
Strong organizational skills
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines
Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred. Minimum of five years work experience in the field of accounting required.
Ideal candidate pays attention to detail, works well with minimal supervision and can stay productive throughout the work day.
To apply for this position you MUST be highly proficient in Quickbooks. This is a part time position at 20 hours per week (Monday-Friday) with the potential to become full time.
Applicants will be tested on general accounting and QuickBooks and subject to credit/background check.
